WINE TASTING AT MELNIK

The town is an architectural reserve and has a population of less than 400.

In the basement they offer dry and semi-dry red wine from Shiroka Melnishka and dry white wine from 6-7 assortments of white Bulgarian grapes. The Vila Melnik Winery is another place for wine tasting. It's new, cutting edge winery that opened entryways in the spring of 2013. The winery's ability is 250 tons of grapes for each year. The aging of the wines happens in root basement tunnels, which dive deep into the sandy hill behind the winery. These passages keep up consistent temperature and mugginess consistently.
